Interior Designer Bio

We welcome Roxann Lloyd of Red Chair Designs, our first contributing writer, designer.

Roxann received her degree in Interior Design from Kansas State University in 1993. After 3 years with Rocky Mountain Desks she moved to Moscow, Russia; and worked with another Knoll dealer, Turnkey Office Solutions. In Russia, she trained two designers and several sales people on how to design and sell Knoll furniture. She also worked on several large commercial projects while there.

After 3 years at the Rocky, she decided she would pursue residential design full time on her own. She started Red Chair Designs in January of 2003 and hasn’t looked back.

Red Chair Designs strives to design homes that reflect the homeowner’s style and not just the style of the designer. We want the experience of working with a designer to be collaborative, creative, exciting and fun.

Dual Flush Toilet by Caroma

by: Roxann Lloyd | Red Chair Designs

In the search for intelligent ways to save water North American toilet distributors are finally catching up with their European counterparts. Europe has had Dual Flush Toilet by Caroma for over ten years however, it’s a relatively new addition to the toilet lineup here in the States. We’ve had toilets that took less water to flush for some time now, the only problem with that is no matter what is being flushed, the same amount of water is used. Now, Caroma has brought the European innovation of the dual-flush toilet to the US. There are two different buttons to use depending on what is being flushed. One button flushes 0.8 gallons of water and the second button flushes 1.6 gallons of water. With its Half Flush and Full Flush innovation, Caroma’s dual flush toilet can reduce water usage by up to 67% when compared with traditional toilets that use 2.9 gallons in a single flush. The Caroma toilet is reliable and easy to use with over a decade of testing to prove it. If you’re looking for an easy way to help save the environment, this is a good place to start.
